The five task types

All tasks use shapes and numbers, not words, so only the instructions depend on your language.

Patterns

A three-by-three grid with one cell missing. Look at how shape, fill, number, size and rotation change along the rows, and treat each one separately.

Number series

A row of numbers that follows a rule. Start with the differences between neighbours, then check whether they themselves follow a pattern.

Analogies

A first pair shows a change. Apply the same change to the second pair. Harder tasks combine several changes.

Rotation

Find the same figure turned in the plane. Mirror images look close but do not count.

Odd one out

Four figures share a property and one does not. Other properties may vary on purpose to distract you.
